I mainly stumble websites on environmental issues, food and cooking, zen and buddhism. But I also have a special project going:
"The 32Countries Blog Project": I stumble blogs from the 32 countries that participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. Read more.

The U.S. Department of State, in partnership with WildAid, has produced three television public service announcements about wildlife trafficking featuring Harrison Ford. WildAid, in partnership with sports, film and other celebrities, major media figures and media outlets are reaching over one billion people with the message, when the buying stops the killing can too.
WildAid and the US government are just two members of The Coalition Against Wildlife Trafficking (CAWT). CAWT works to focus public and political attention and resources on ending the illegal trade in wildlife and wildlife products.

"On Saturday, June 28, try this with your kids:
Turn off the iPod. Unplug the computer. Ignore the TV.
Then...
Pitch a tent. Roast some marshmallows. Smell the night air. Wake with the sun.
It's the 4th annual Great American Backyard Campout -- a night free of electrical outlets and reality shows -- sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation. Just open the back door, step outside and experience the simple pleasure of a night outdoors with your children."

Zork Green Tip 15 - Drink Tap Water

4 reasons to stop drinking bottled water:
1. Bottled water costs more than gasoline! Bottled water costs 1000 times more than tap water.
2. Bottled is not healthier than tap.
3. Plastic water bottles are harming our planet.
4. Drinking from plastic containers is not good for your human body.

From the page: "It's an amazing new fad, one of the most successful advertising hypes in recent history. Advertising for bottled water suggests that drinking water in plastic can make you thin, sexy, healthy, affluent, and environmentally responsible. Water bottles have become a fashion accessory.
These ideas have a source, and it's not a mountain spring. Giant multinational companies like Nestle, Coke, and Pepsi are making a fortune on bottled water. In the U.S. a sip of bottled water costs on average 1,000 times a sip of water from the tap."

Using a Spin Dryer instead of a traditional tumble dryer is one way to reduce your carbon footprint and save some money in the process. Could reduce North American household energy usage by six to ten percent.
